Some places remember you before you arrive.
Scotland calls us into a relationship with the land.
Its ancient stones, sacred waters, forests, and islands invite us to slow down, listen deeply, and encounter the presence these places hold.
This pilgrimage brings together the beauty of Scotland with the spiritual threads that draw Kristina and Lisa Marie to these lands: Celtic wisdom, the divine feminine, Mary Magdalene, and communion with the living Earth.
We’ll explore sacred places, share nourishing meals, gather in ceremony, and make generous space for laughter, play, and the quiet work of renewal.
Along the way, we’ll stay in accommodations full of Scottish character, from peaceful island hotels and coastal spa retreats to a two-night stay in a restored castle on the Isle of Lewis.
Whether you feel the pull of a particular site or are simply called by the land, it would be our deep honour to guide you.
Old paths. A different pace.
The Spiritual Thread of Our Pilgrimage
Throughout our journey, Scotland’s sacred places will offer opportunities to explore Celtic wisdom, the divine feminine, and our relationship with the living Earth.
At Rosslyn, stories of the Grail and the Templars open our exploration, followed by forest bathing and connection with the land in Rosslyn Glen. On Iona, gentle walks and time at sacred sites invite stillness and reflection.
On Mull, our visit to Kilmore Church brings the Magdalene thread into focus as we gaze at the stained-glass depiction of Yeshua and Magdalene, while on Skye, Lisa Marie guides us into the island’s faerie traditions.
This pilgrimage is in part dedicated to the powerful energy of Mary Magdalene, calling forth a deeper embodiment of the Magdalene Sisterhood. It is about rediscovering and honoring the divine feminine inside each of us, being called forward at a time on the planet when it is critical that we hold the energy of loving kindness that was a cornerstone of the teachings of Yeshua.
The Emerald Heart is a blueprint of unconditional love, a frequency that was seeded into the earth. When we are able to attune to that frequency and activate it, we are holding the highest level of love possible: unconditional love.
The Emerald Heart provides a container to support the energy of the Celtic Rose. When it is activated, it becomes a Grail, a cup that can hold other higher frequencies of Sophianic wisdom and Christus light.
As we explore these ancient lands of Scotland, we have a powerful opportunity to activate the Emerald Heart frequency in ourselves.
Our Summer Solstice ceremony at Callanish brings these threads together in prayer, intention, and connection with the turning of the season. Visits to the Clava Cairns and the ancient Fortingall Yew offer further space to listen, reflect, and carry our experiences into daily life.

June 14
Rosslyn, Woodland Connection & Our Welcome Dinner
Begin the journey with Lisa Marie at Rosslyn, exploring the Apprentice Pillar, carvings of the Green Men, and the stories associated with the Templars and the Holy Grail. We’ll delve into the musical symbolism within the carvings and the mysteries surrounding what may lie beneath the crypt.
In nearby Rosslyn Glen, we’ll spend time forest bathing and connecting with the land. Drawing on the nature-based spirituality of Druid traditions, we’ll listen to the forests, plants, and elements, allowing the Magdalene and Druid threads of our pilgrimage to begin unfolding. We’ll make space for ceremony wherever possible.
We then travel west to the Oban area, our gateway to the islands, and gather for our welcome dinner.
Dinner: Welcome dinner included
June 15
Crossing to the Holy Island of Iona
Travel by ferry to Mull and onward to Iona, where we begin exploring this island of pilgrimage and sacred presence.
Gentle walks, stunning beaches, and sacred sites invite us to settle into the island’s rhythm. We’ll begin exploring places such as the Spring of Eternal Youth, the Iona Nunnery, St Oran’s Chapel, and the burial place associated with ancient Scottish kings.
There is much to discover here, from Celtic crosses and the island’s Heritage Centre to local crafts and the Spouting Cave on the southwest shore. Our time on Iona offers space for both shared exploration and the places that call to you personally.
We stay overnight on Iona, giving us time to linger and continue exploring the following morning.
Dinner: Included
June 16–17
Iona & the Isle of Mull
After further time on Iona, we cross back to Mull for a two-night stay.
Mull offers a rich variety of landscapes, from white sand beaches, unusual rock formations, and legend-filled caves to mountains, waterfalls, and lochs. Along the way, we’ll keep an eye out for golden eagles, dolphins, and perhaps the much-loved Highland cows at Loch Beg.
We’ll enjoy time in colourful Tobermory, with opportunities to browse, explore, and enjoy island life. The Glass Barn is one of Kristina’s suggestions for lunch.
We’ll also visit Kilmore Church, where a distinctive stained-glass window offers a focus for our exploration of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and the divine feminine.
An optional boat excursion to Fingal’s Cave on nearby Staffa offers another way to experience these remarkable islands.
Optional excursion: Boat trip to Fingal’s Cave
June 18–19
The Faerie Isle of Skye
Return by ferry to Oban and travel north to the Isle of Skye for two nights.
Often called the “Fairy Isle,” Skye is a place where dramatic landscapes meet Celtic spirituality, faerie folklore, and rich clan history. The island’s stories live in places with names such as the Fairy Glen, Fairy Pools, and Fairy Bridge, while the extraordinary formations of the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing evoke legends of giants and hidden kingdoms.
Lisa Marie will guide us in connecting with the island and its faerie traditions, inviting us to experience the landscape as a living presence.
Skye also holds a strong thread of Scottish Gaelic language, music, and culture. We’ll make time to enjoy local villages and browse shops in Dunvegan and Portree, gathering for dinner and sharing our experiences along the way.
June 20–21
Isle of Lewis & Summer Solstice at Callanish
Travel by ferry to the Outer Hebrides and settle into our accommodation at Lews Castle on the Isle of Lewis.
Our first evening offers time to explore, enjoy dinner independently, and seek out traditional Scottish music.
On June 21, we gather at the Callanish Standing Stones for our Summer Solstice ceremony, led by Lisa Marie. Here, ancient stone, expansive sky, and the turning of the season provide a powerful setting for prayer and reflection.
The stones’ striking arrangement and ancient gneiss invite us to contemplate the relationship between Earth and sky. We’ll explore the site’s lunar associations alongside stories of the Cailleach, the goddess linked with Scotland’s wild landscapes and the forces of creation and destruction.
In these stories, she shapes the land by dropping stones from her apron, creating hills, mountains, and islands. Her connection with winter, the life force, and the passage from darkness into renewal offers another thread for reflection as we gather at the height of summer.
That evening, we come together for a group dinner and sharing time.
Dinner: On your own June 20; group dinner included June 21
June 22
Inverness & the Clava Cairns
Take the ferry back to the mainland and travel through the Highlands to Inverness.
We’ll visit the Clava Cairns, an ancient cemetery complex set within a peaceful woodland landscape, before settling into our hotel.
Enjoy an evening at leisure in Inverness, with time to discover its restaurants, riverside walks, and music scene.
Dinner: On your own
June 23
The Fortingall Yew & Our Farewell Gathering
On our return journey to Edinburgh, we stop at the Fortingall Yew, a living presence thousands of years old, held in deep reverence.
The yew’s associations with immortality and the cycles of life and death make this a meaningful final encounter. In the presence of this ancient tree, we’ll pause to connect with the land and reflect on all we have experienced together.
Back in Edinburgh, we gather for our farewell dinner and a little sharing time. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy the city.
Dinner: Farewell dinner included

Kristina Wood
Author • Spiritual Guide • Pilgrimage Leader
Kristina Wood is a spiritual guide, author, and founder of Mystical Nature Journeys. For over 14 years, she has led sacred pilgrimages around the world and believes that Nature and ancient wisdom hold the keys to healing and remembering our true path.
She is the author of Why the Sunflower Smiles and The Magic of the Real World, and her online offerings—guided meditations, storytelling, and experiential courses—support seekers in reawakening their connection to nature spirits, ancestral wisdom, and the light within.
Kristina walks as an Elder and mentor, here to bless others into their own sacred path. She believes we each carry our own medicine, and that through shared remembrance, we come home to who we truly are.
Lisa Marie
Earth Worker and Space Holder
Lisa Marie has been an Earth worker and grid worker for decades, following the call of sacred landscapes around the world, including time living with the Anangu Pitjantjatjara people, the sacred guardians of Uluru, and journeys through Angkor Wat and Bhutan.
She spent close to four years living in a campervan across Scotland's Highlands and islands, sleeping beside stone circles and lochs and deepening her relationship with the plants, the elements and the land. Her connection to Scotland also runs through her ancestry; her ancestor John Rhind was a master stonemason whose work can be found across Edinburgh.
These sacred lands are very powerful, and some people find a lot comes up for them when they visit. Lisa Marie is here to hold you through it all and help you integrate whatever arises: memories, large downloads, waves of energy. She may intuitively hold ceremony or bring through channelled messages when the land calls for it. Her presence is grounded, deeply felt and full of laughter and most importantly of all… PLAY.
Praise for Pilgrimages with Kristina & Lisa Marie

Most international airlines operate flights to USA.
Your flight arrival to USA and departure should be to Denver International Airport (DIA) and from Durango Airport (DRO)
AIRPORT TRANSFER to the Star Hilton, DIA
After your arrival at Denver International Airport and collecting your luggage at the Baggage Claim, please look for the airport hotel shuttle bus location. Further instructions will be given to you for the time and location for your shuttle pick-up.
Upon arrival you may also want to stop and exchange some money which is available at the airport.
-
Your home currency may be exchanged at the airport, your hotel, one of the local money changers, or at one of the many ATMs throughout USA. It is advisable to stop and get some USD before you leave the airport to cover your Tip for your shuttle or Taxi.
In USA the USD is used as currency. Exchange rates vary depending on what you use in the exchange: cash, check, travellers check or credit card. Be sure to check with your hotel for the exchange rate as it can fluctuate daily. At all larger stores and restaurants you may use either your credit card or debit card.
Please check Visa or MasterCard on the web before departure for the current rate of exchange.
Major credit cards as Visa or MasterCard or your ATM card are excellent to have in case of an emergency and for buying more expensive items. They provide a good exchange rate and receipt. Always ask for the carbon, if used, along with your customer copy. Important: before you depart overseas, please notify your bank or credit card provider of your schedule, and that you will be making purchases out of the country.
We do not recommend the use of traveller’s checks, as you may experience difficulty using and/or cashing them. In addition, banks usually charge a handling fee when cashing traveller’s checks. Major credit cards are recommended for purchases.

Closed-toe shoes: The scenery is beautiful, but the terrain can be rough in spots. We recommend you wear shoes with good traction that will protect your feet from thorns and sharp rocks. High heels are NOT recommended for women. Bring sandals and water shoes for the hot springs.
Hat/Sunscreen: The Southwest is at a higher altitude than you may be used to, so the sun will find you while you are on your tour. Skin protection is highly encouraged.
Layered clothing: Weather in Sept: will average high 70F, average low 40°F. In general weather can be very unpredictable. Windstorms, which have formed the valley into the spectacular sight you see today, can and do occur without warning throughout the year. We recommend checking the weather forecast for Durango before you pack. Definitely bring layers of clothes including a very warm, light weight coat.

Be sure to pack enough of your prescription medications to last through the trip. Pack your medicine in the original bottle and bring some in your carry-on bag.
Bring an extra week’s supply, your doctor’s phone number, and a copy of the generic names for each.
Have your doctor write a USA equivalent prescription for life-dependent medications. Not all prescriptions are interchangeable. Your doctor will be able to advise you.
If you are allergic to any medicines, please keep a list of these with your passport.
In USA you may need a prescription for medicine that is sold over the counter in other countries.
You should pack some aspirin, antacids, and similar items you use at home that you feel you might need on the trip.
